Had my car towed in due to no start issue. They insisted that it needed a complete engine replacement, saying the pistons had holes in them. (Not true) I understand them taking the safe road and wanting to put all new parts on it, but the car has 160k miles. I was quoted over $8k for a used engine. They weren’t interested in trying to repair the failed parts. They then offered me $500 for the car. I declined and listed it for $1500. It sold in less than 2 hours. I then payed my diagnostic fee so the new owner could come get it, saving me additional towing fees. They got very short with me and did not want me to have access to clean my car out. But after waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes or more, they finally allowed me access to the vehicle. I cannot recommend these people whatsoever. The second star is solely because they have a clean waiting area. Diagnostic fee was fairly priced.

On a long trip fraught with stress, my car chose to give up 1 mile north of the TX/OK border. My sister found Pierce Family Automotive online, called, and spoke to Steven. He was so encouraging and was extremely helpful and supportive. Anytime automotive issues are outside your normal area, things are hard. Steven made sure that I had a safe place to stay and didn't get discouraged with all the difficulties. I cannot express enough how supportive everyone was. If I am ever in the Denton area again, I plan to stop by and say hello. If you live in the Denton area, I highly recommend Pierce Family Automotive, especially Steven Hitchcock.

Not exaggerating—this is the only place I'll ever bring my car, and they're over 50 miles away from me! If you own a TDI (or any vehicle, really), there's no need to look any further. Robert, Steven, and everyone there are fantastic: honest, transparent, and incredibly skilled at what they do. They've taken great care of me on multiple occasions and have made my little commuter car both a pleasure to drive and extremely reliable. Most recently, they took care of a leaking injection pump and timing belt service on my TDI. Those aren't jobs you want done by just anyone, and they handled everything flawlessly. The car has been running great since. I genuinely feel lucky to have found a shop like this. Businesses that prioritize quality work and customer trust are becoming harder to find, and these guys are the real deal. They never try to upsell unnecessary work—they give you the facts, explain your options, and help you make the best decision for your situation. Very concerning experience. I brought my vehicle in with zero overheating issues and was told a heater hose was “melted” and needed urgent repair, along with an outrageously expensive quote. Something felt off, so I declined the work and paid to have my car towed to another shop for a second opinion. There, they found a hose disconnected and tucked under the air intake, which directly contradicted what I was told here. Between the high quote, conflicting diagnosis, and added tow expense, I completely lost confidence in this location. I’ve filed a formal complaint with corporate. Always get a second opinion before approving repairs here.
